Robert E. Keys

Robert E. Keys, 78, of Sherwood, passed away on Wednesday, June  20, 2018 in Hillsdale, Michigan.  
  
He was born on October 15, 1939 to Ford and Helen (McFeeters) Keys in Defiance. On August 14, 1981 he married Judy (Manley) Keys, who resides in Sherwood. 
  
Bob was a member of Moose #2094, VFW in Paulding, UAW #211, motorcycle clubs The Moose Riders, and also one in Continental, and he was a lifetime member of  the Eagles. His leisure time was spent riding his motorcycle, hunting, and watching westerns on television. Bob farmed for many years and enjoyed raising steers. He will be truly missed by his family and many good friends.
  
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judy Keys of Sherwood, children; Bob (Fern) Keys, Jr. of Cecil, OH, Fred (Loretta) Keys of Hillsdale, MI, and Tammy Lusk of Latty, OH, stepdaughters, Margaret Roddy of Sherwood, Deb (Charlie) Throop of Georgia, and Loretta (Fred) Keys of Hillsdale, MI, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and sister, Pauline Cordray of Defiance. 
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leon Gallant, Harold Keys, Larry Keys, and Donny Keys, sisters, Gladys Eitniear, Betty DeVault,  Ethel Goodwin, and Mildred Noggle.
  
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm, and 6-8 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Harkey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evansport Cemetery.
