A true craftsman and model builder. Richard build some of the best looking (and flying) models I have ever seen. He helped me win many trophy's in the 1980's calling the maneuvers I would fly in Scale aerobatics at our field through the week. His help paid off on the Sundays I would compete. He was always there to help at prop flopper field. God Bless Richard and tell Bonny I said hi. He was a true friend. He will be missed. Kent Clingaman.

I have such wonderful memories of time spent with Uncle Richard and my entire Smith family. I know there is a "jam session" going on in heaven. Rest in peace Uncle Richard, you were dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Sending love and prayers to the family.
