Renee A. Stupka

Renee A. Stupka, 57, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday morning, November 11, 2018 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.   
  
She was born on March 15, 1961 to Raymond and Norma (Freund) Stupka at Cleveland, Ohio. Renee graduated from Mid Park High School in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and from the University of Toledo. She earned her law degree and was an attorney in Defiance. On March 18, 2006  she married Jack Schudel, who preceded her in death on September 13, 2018. 

Renee was a member of  Peace Lutheran Church, Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, and VFW #3360. She volunteered for the Defiance Election Board, and was an advocate for mental health and the less fortunate in our community. Renee loved horses and being involved in the equestrian world. She was extremely proud of her daughter whom she loved dearly, and spending time with her was her greatest joy. 
  
Renee will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kati Stupka of Bowling Green, Ohio, stepchildren, Candice (Glen) Schudel Steed, Darla (Chuck) Snyder, Sam (Maria) Schudel, Stacy (Joe Salinas) Schudel , and her best friend, Deborah (Jim) Potts of Defiance
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Schudel.

There will be no services at this time. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
