Phillip M. Shock, 34, of Defiance, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, October 29, 2018 at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 16, 1984 to Michael and Kim (Hinesley) Shock in Toledo, Ohio. On October 31, 2015 he married Laura (Maxson) Shock, who resides in Defiance. Phillip worked as an Assistant Manager at Defiance Wash -N- Fill. He enjoyed playing video games, and he could always quote lines from movies and songs. Phillip enjoyed spending time with his family, and he will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Laura Shock, mother, Kim Wurster of Defiance, and Michael (Deanna) Shock of Evansport, son, Damien K. Dailey, and daughter, Kirsten A. Hale, both living at home, sister, Samantha (Matt) Martin of Bryan, brothers, Jeremy (Rachel) Nally of New Haven, IN, and Tom (Melanie) Nally of Sherwood, stepsisters, Sarah Nally of Hudson, MI, and Autumn (James) Kirk of Defiance, brother-in-law, Roland (Lacey) Maxson of Defiance, and 16 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his stepfather, Matt Wurster, and grandparents, Bill and Glenna Shock, and Charles Hinesley.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating.
