Peggy Cline Obituary

Peggy Sue Cline, 72, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 14, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on April 21, 1946 to George and Edna (Hill) Wellman in Defiance. Peggy was baptized at First Baptist Church. She worked for several years as a Title Clerk at the Defiance County Courthouse. Peggy was a member of Eagles #372 and Moose Lodge #2094. Peggy was outgoing and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Peggy will be greatly missed by her daughters, Angela (Jonathan) Gathman of Defiance, Kristi (Marvin) Speiser of Continental, Melissa (Ronald) Hammersmith of Defiance, and Melinda Cline of Defiance, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, sons, Tommy (Tammie) Kesler of West Unity, Ohio and Jeff (Josie) Lirot of Custer, Ohio, and special friend, Paul Perdue of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her partner for over 25 years, Richard Lirot.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
