Paul J. Miller

Paul J. Miller, 80, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his home.    
  
He was born on July 12, 1938 to James and Silvia (Marihugh) Miller in Defiance.  Paul proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. In 1960 he married Evelyn (Bohnenberger) Miller, who preceded him in death in 2004. In 2006 Paul married Janet (Donley) Miller, who resides in Defiance. 
  
He was a member of Pioneer Auto Club, and a lifetime member of VFW #3360, and AMVETS #1991. Paul worked at Campbell Soup Co. in Napoleon, and at SK Hand Tool Corp. in Defiance until his retirement in 2000. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and he enjoyed camping, country music, and going to casinos.
  
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, Janet Miller of Defiance, daughters, Debra (Michael) Corns of Defiance, Donna Rohrs of Holgate, Judy Widmer of Defiance, and son, Alex  (Diana) Froelich of Defiance, grandchildren, Lindsay (Taylor) Bockelman, Benjamin Rohrs (Hannah Yaney), and Heather Froelich, great-grandchildren, Jaidyn, Tenley, and Ryker Bockelman, and Ravin and Logan Froelich, brother, Ray (Katherine) Miller of Defiance, and sister, Grace Joy of Westchester, Ohio. 
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Miller, brothers, Carl, Glen, and Harry Miller, sisters, Ruth Miller, Margie Harris, Irene Jarvis, June Speck, and Rita Kiessling.
  
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. David Brobston officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens, with military graveside rites accorded by VFW #3360.
