Nancy Kunesh
Nancy Kunesh, 90, of Defiance, passed away Sunday morning, June 30th, 2019 at the Laurels of Defiance.
She was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on February 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Floyd (Jake) and Pauline (Rethmel) Paxton.
She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church at Marysdale and the Altar Society. She was a 1947 graduate of Stryker High School. On November 5, 1949 she married Harold Kunesh. She loved to decorate cakes. She was a homemaker and had worked at Ken's Furniture. Nancy was a very good mother and grandmother. She loved to play games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by Harold, her husband of 69 years,
daughters: Laura Buchholz of Defiance, Jane (John) Meyer of Toledo,
sons: Mark (Pam) Kunesh of Defiance, Bruce Kunesh of Defiance,
daughter in law Tami Kunesh of Archbold,
many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons Matthew, Stephen and a son Joseph who died in infancy, son in law Ken Buchholz and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Isidore Catholic Church at Marysdale, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday 3-7 p.m. at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance and Wednesday 10-11 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church at Marysdale.
There will be a Rosary Service 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lawson-Roessner.
Burial will be in Marysdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers suggested memorials are to St. Isidore Catholic Church, Heartland Hospice or the Diabetes Association. Condolences may be shared at www.lawsonroessner.com
