Nancy Sue (Kinder) Killion

Nancy S. Killion, 70, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home in Defiance, after a brief but fierce battle with leukemia.   
  
She was born on December 19, 1948 to Arthur and Luella (Moore) Kinder in Defiance. On September 26, 1970 she married Allen Killion, who resides in Defiance.  

Nancy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Moose Lodge #2094, and the Ladies of the Elks. She loved the outdoors, riding bikes, water skiing, boating and traveling. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was her greatest joy. She will be sadly missed by her family and many close friends.
  
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of  48 years, Allen Killion of Defiance, daughters, Lisa Habibi of Jasper, MI, and Kerri (Don) Killion-Mueller of Ft. Wayne, IN, and her brother, Tom (Janice) Kinder of Defiance. Nancy was a proud grandmother to Evie Golema, Rose Habibi, Henry Mueller, and William Mueller, who she loved so dearly. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James, Richard, and Norman Kinder, and a grandson, Sean Golema.
  
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
