Martha Mae Rothenberger, 85, of  Defiance, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.   
 
She was born on May 9, 1932 to Chris and Mamie (Willwrath) Behm in Celina, Ohio.  On February 24, 1951 she married Kenneth A. Rothenberger, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1991. Martha was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards, and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
Martha will be sadly missed by her daughter, Louise Robeson of Defiance, brother, Charles (Kay) Behm of Napoleon, grandchildren;  Amy Robeson of Phoenix, AZ, Leslie Ramey of Defiance, and April (Brian) Schuckman of Washougal, WA, great-grandchildren; Christian and Callie Schuckman, and Derek Ramey.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Rothenberger, brothers, Louis, Paul, and John Behm, and sisters, Mary Druhot and Ethel VanTillburg.
 
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on  Monday, October 30th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Deb Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
