Lisa R. (Miller) Crowe

Lisa R. Crowe, 50, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.   
  
She was born on December 27, 1968 to Arthur and Dixie (Smith) Miller in Defiance, Ohio.  On January 23, 1988 she married Christopher Crowe, whom survives.
  
Lisa was a 1987 graduate of Paulding High School, a 1992  graduate of Defiance College, and earned her Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University in 2005.  She dedicated her life to teaching our youth Language Arts in the 7th and 8th grades for Defiance City Schools, and facilitated the Defiance City Schools Spelling Bee.  Lisa was saved by Christ at 12 years of age, and was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.  In her spare time she enjoyed Zumba, traveling with her husband, and especially enjoyed all the time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren at family functions and events.  Lisa was known to love all animals, and especially fond of her cats. 
  
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Christopher A. Crowe of Defiance, a son, Daniel (Lauren) Crowe of Defiance, a daughter, Elizabeth (Devin) Dorn of Fort Wayne, IN, grandchildren, Tyson and Arya Crowe, and her parents, Arthur (Dixie) Miller, all of Defiance.  
  
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth Miller, and Bud and Genella Smith.
  
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Defiance High School, and also from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at  2:00 pm at the Defiance High School, with Christopher and Daniel Crowe officiating.

Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance is in charge of arrangements.  Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
  
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center, or American Cancer Society in Lisa's memory.
