Laurie A. (Rockey) Grennay

Laurie A. Grennay, age 58 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Toledo Hospital.  
 
She was born on August 7, 1961 to the late Richard and Betty (Murphy) Rockey in Defiance, Ohio. On February 14, 1986 she married Jean-Paul Grennay, who resides in Defiance.
 
Laurie worked for several years as a manager for McDonald's. She was an avid reader of true crime novels, and she enjoyed watching old true crime television shows and  old game shows, and doing crossword puzzles and word searches. Her priority was always spending quality time with her family and grandchildren, and vacationing to Mackinaw Island. Laurie was an avid Notre Dame fan, and an "Honorary" member of The Partridge Family. She will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends.
 
Laurie is survived by her two sons, Alexander (Kristen) Grennay of Slippery Rock, PA, and Chase Grennay of Youngstown, OH, three daughters, Gabrielle Grennay of Defiance, McKenna Grennay of Casa Grande, AZ, and Kassidey Grennay of Defiance. She also leaves behind three grandchildren; Keegan Hoffman, Antigonie Grennay, and Harvie Grennay, and her brother, Scott Rockey of Cincinnati, Ohio.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
     
Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses.
