Kathy Ann Clemens, August 23, 1955 - August 3, 2017

Kathy was one of eight daughters born to Alva and Jean (Lantow) Clemens.  Kathy has seven sisters that have always loved and cared for her along with their spouses that Kathy considered her brothers.  They are Jean and Richard Caldwell of Oblong, Illinois; Linda and Walter Beardsley of Defiance, Ohio; Bonnie Fosnaugh of Defiance; Diana and John Ater of Brilliant, Ohio; Mary and Wayne Erickson; Sandi and Doug Klausing; and Melody Hope and Jeremy Thompson all of Defiance.

Kathy has 32 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding Kathy in death are her Mother, Dad, and brother-in-law, Wayne Erickson.

Kathy had many things she loved, topping the list was God and her church, Defiance Christian Church.  Kathy was honored to do any job and especially helping in the kitchen for Vacation Bible School.

Kathy graduated in 1974 from Defiance High School and win or lose, loved the Bulldogs no matter.  Kathy also proudly wore scarlet and gray for The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Kathy worked for 30 years at Defiance Hospital in Dietary.  Kathy loved all the people in her family, at her church, at her school, and at her job.  Everyone she met became her "good friend".

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Defiance Christian Church, 955 Standley Road, Defiance, Ohio. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Mike Hasselbring and Minister John Ater, will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation starting at 1:00pm also at the church.  Interment will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
