Jackson Tanner Spees, 5, of Defiance, suddenly passed away on  Saturday, June 17, 2017 from a drowning accident.  
  
He was born on May 27, 2012 to Jillian Whalen and Jonathon Spees in Defiance. Jackson was an incredibly happy boy who loved dinosaurs, playgrounds and his "vehicles" (his trucks and cars). He had a huge curiosity of bugs and liked spending time playing MineCraft with his brother Miles. He loved playing in the dirt piles at the ball fields where his brothers played baseball. He often asked his mother, "how many more days until Saturday, so we can snuggle".  
  
Jackson  will be sadly missed by his parents, Jillian Whalen and Jonathon Spees, brothers, Samuel, Wyatt, and Miles Whalen, and Jordan Spees. Jackson was beloved by his grandparents and aunts.
  
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Jillian Whalen's residence on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 pm. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
