Helen W. Cabral
Helen W. Cabral, 96, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 8th, 2019 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.
She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on October 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Wilson) Davidson.
Helen was a 1940 graduate of Mansfield High School. She married Charles Cabral in 1942 and he died October 11, 1996. She had lived in Defiance since 1958 and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Helen also had been a member of the Moose, Eagles, American Legion, VFW, and DAV. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, camping and her family.
Surviving are her daughter: Sandra (Tim) Byrn of White Springs, FL
son: Sam (Deborah) Cabral of Sarasota, FL.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren,
friend and care giver Jo Polk and nephew and caregiver Steve Whatman and many extended family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Charles, and two sisters Mary and Margaret.
Services will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12th, with Rev. John Stites officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday 11-1 at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Suggested memorials are to Great Lakes Hospice 30000 E. River Rd. Perrysburg, OH. 43551.
The family wishes to thank Great Lakes Hospice, the Mercy Hospital staff, Dr. J.D. Reeves and her caregivers for their special care of Helen.
