Gregory L. Pollock, 67, of Defiance, peacefully passed away in his home on Sunday, March 25, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 9, 1950 to the late Beatrice J. (Kleinhen) and Stanley V. Pollock in Defiance. On July 5, 1975 he married Angeline C. (Reineck) Pollock, who resides in Defiance.
Greg was a machine operator and union steward for Johns Manville in Defiance for over 29 years, until his retirement in October, 1999. He was a former 4-H advisor, Cub Scout Leader, and Cub Scout Master for the Oakwood Pack #19. He was a member of Defiance Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed leather work, camping, and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Greg will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Angie Pollock of Defiance, daughter, Tabitha (Richard) Sullivan of Defiance, son, Nicholas (Kristy) Pollock of Cecil, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, daughter-in-law, Mandy Pollock, and brother, David (Norma) Pollock of Defiance.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Pollock.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 28th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Gene Yenser officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
