Mick and I spend many hours on the Parlor City Country Club fairways and sand traps. We played and worked together. Often our dads would drop us off early in the morning with the dew still on the course. One day we played 72 together.
Although our paths drifted apart, I will always cherish memories of Mick on the course and also in my heart. Obviously a good man gone too soon.

You and your family will always be in our hearts along with all the fond memories we have as cousins growing up together as children, from grandma and grandpa Murphys house at Christmas ,to aunt margarets backward nursery rhyme days and rain on the roof. To the fun times at cottages on the river . And the hot sand at Rondo Beach. To the weekends in Bluffton Indiana, collecting fires and putting them in sleeping bags. I don't know of anyone who was friends with a Murphy kid who didn't think of George & Sue as a second set of parents. George was everything a great man & father should be. My heart broke when I learned of his passing. Surely the world is a better place because he was here & a bit darker now that he's gone. Sending love & peace to Sue & her family during this very difficult time.
