Dorothy J. Mack
Dorothy J. Mack, 96, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at the Laurels of Defiance.
She was born in Defiance, Ohio on May 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Elizabeth P. (Lourash) Roehrig. She married Paul W. (Cuzz) Mack on July 3rd, 1947 who preceded her in death on November 5th, 2004.
Dorothy was a bookkeeper at the former Lynch Corporation. She previously worked as a billing clerk and receptionist at the former Lectrolite Corporation. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Elks and VFW Ladies Auxiliaries, Women of the Moose and Defiance Women's Bowling Association. She was a Life Member of the Eta chapter, Alpha Zeta Beta Sorority. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Surviving are three sons: David (Gayle) Mack of Dennison, OH. Thomas (Sharon) Mack of Napoleon, Chuck (Liz) Mack of Defiance, a daughter Connie (Phil) Kerr of Plain City, OH eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul (Cuzz) Mack, father Elmer Roehrig, mother Elizabeth (Lourash) Fate, step father Harry Fate, grandson Alex Kuser, sister Marie (Harold) Mix, stepsisters: Marjorie Weible and Marcella Fate.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home and 9-10 Wednesday at the church. A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lawson-Roessner.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
