Donald E. Lethers
Donald E. Lethers, 80, of Defiance, passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Defiance, Ohio on November 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lotha (Burnett) Lethers.
Don was a1957 Defiance High School graduate and an Army veteran. On April 22, 1961, he married Elaine (Carlin) Lethers who survives.` He was a member of Church of the Nazarene.
Don enjoyed getting together with family and playing games, especially when he won. He loved laughing and being ornery by picking on people; he was a practical joker.
He had worked at Defiance Grocery Co. and retired from Browns Bakery.
Don will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years Elaine,
loving daughters: Denise (Ron) Rue of Defiance, Lisa (Jeff) Roddy of Defiance, Dawn (Scott) Williams of Defiance.
brother: Rev. Robert Lethers of Winter Haven, Florida,
sister: Diane Letherman of Jasonville, IN
He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Ashley Roddy, Justin Riley, Reagan and Connor Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry and his parents.
Services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 25 at the Church of the Nazarene 1656 S. Jefferson Ave. Defiance, OH. Visitation is also at the Church of the Nazarene on Monday from 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Suggested memorials are to the church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared at www.lawsonroessner.com
