Docine Haynes, 77, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Mercy Defiance Hospital.  
  
He was born on May 29, 1940 to Henry and Mattie (Hannah) Haynes in Louisville, Mississippi. On August 31, 1968 he married Ida (Williams) Haynes, who resides in Defiance. Docine worked at General Motors in Defiance for 28 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
  
Docine will be sadly missed by his loving spouse of 48 years, Ida Haynes of Defiance, sons, Christopher (Althea) Brown of  Texas, and Norris Frazier of Defiance, daughter, Marilyn Thomas of MS, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and five brothers. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and one sister.
  
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, July 14, 2017 at The Believers Church International, 1600 Ayersville Avenue in Defiance. A Memorials Service will follow at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the church, with Apostle O. Michael Smith officiating.
