David "Brownie" Lynn Brown

David Lynn "Brownie"  Brown, 63, of Defiance, passed away on  May 24, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH, surrounded by his loving family. 
  
He was born on July 12, 1955 to Paul "Skip" and Ginny (Mingie) Brown in Napoleon, OH.  David worked at the Water Treatment Plant for GM for 45 years.  In April 1990 he married the love of his life Marty Memmer.  He was a member of UAW Local 211.  David loved to work, was an avid OSU Football Fan, enjoyed talking politics, music and attending concerts, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren 
  
David will be greatly missed by his loving spouse of 29 years Marty, sons, Jason (Darcy) Brown of Defiance, OH, Kristian Brown and Shawn Brown both of Ft. Wayne, IN, daughters, Michelle Cook of Castle Rock, CO, Mindy (Larry) Moore of Defiance, OH and Misty (Trent) Waldron of Toledo, OH, grandchildren, Sarah Winzeler, Courtney Brown, Channing Brown, Stella Brown, Kolton Cook, Kade Cook, Dylan (Anais Nin) Moore, Ally Moore, Harrison Waldron and Triston Waldron, great-grandson, Kaiden Winzeler, sister, Paula Recker of Hamilton, OH and several nieces and nephews.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Tara Hunter.
  
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.
     
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Schaffer Funeral Home, with  Carol Retcher and George Westrick officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Sherman Cemetery.
