Darlene Wagner, 76, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Luke's Mercy Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.
She was born on October 13, 1941 to the late William and Orene (Williams) Giles in Cynthiana, Kentucky. On September 12, 1959 she married Leonard J. Wagner, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2007.
Darlene was a member of Defiance Christian Church. She worked for several years as a Customer Service Representative for Key Bank and RDSI. She loved to travel, but mostly she cherished her time with her family and friends.
Darlene will be sadly missed by her daughter, Angela (John) Blythe of Georgetown, KY, sons, Jeff Wagner of Cynthiana, KY, and Stephen (Jodi) Wagner of Defiance, grandchildren; Tania (Evan) Sharp of Georgetown, KY, Matthew (Christina) Blythe of Lexington, KY, Maddox and Easton Wagner of Defiance, and Amberly Ives of North Carolina, great-grandchildren; Christopher and Anderson Sharp of Georgetown, KY, and Kylie Ives of NC, sister, Carol Sue Williams of Georgetown, KY, brothers, Richard (Terry) Giles of Cocoa, FL, and Ron (Lynda) Giles of Lexington, KY, along with several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Leonard J. Wagner, and brother, William Lindell Giles.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 pm on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Additional services will be held at Drake Whaley McCarty Funeral Home in Cynthiana, KY. Burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
