Daniel Vance, Sr.

Daniel O. Vance, age 45 of Defiance, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.   
  
He was born on January 3, 1974 to Moses and Sylvia (McCloud) Vance in Harts, West Virginia. On June 7, 1996  he married Bobbie (Maag) Vance, who resides in Defiance. Daniel was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Defiance. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
  
Daniel will be greatly missed by his wife, Bobbie Vance of Defiance, daughter, Danielle Vance (fiance Brandon Bryant), and sons, Daniel Vance, Jr. and Devin Vance, all of Defiance, and parents, Moses and Sylvia Vance of Harts, WV. He also leaves behind his sister, Eliza Vance, brothers, Bob (Rhonda) Vance, and Dave (Heather) Vance, all of Harts, WV, his newly adopted sons, Hy-Kem Jefferson and K.C. Hatton of Defiance, loving in-laws, and many good friends. 
  
He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Natalie Jo Vance, and his grandparents.
  
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Isaac Shelton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
