Gerald Bock Obituary

Gerald A. Bock, age 68 of Defiance, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio.  
  
He was born on May 17, 1955 to the late Charles and Gretchen (Weidenhamer) Bock in Defiance. In 1978 Gerald earned his Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. Gerald lived in Tucson for over thirty years and worked as the lead cook for University of Arizona. He was a member of Tucson Audubon Society. He enjoyed bird watching and would travel all over to see different birds. He loved painting gourds and buckeyes. Gerald will be missed by his family and many good friends.
  
Gerald is survived by his brothers, Gregory (Jamie) Bock of Defiance and Brian (Ann) Bock of St. George, UT, his nieces Phoebe Bock, Robin Bock and Sandra (Jerry) Snyder.], and his nephew, Ryan (Raeann) Bock.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gretchen Bock.
  
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating.
