Willie Patrick, 85 , of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance, Ohio  
  
He was born on February 9, 1931 to Frank and Leona (McCarty) Patrick in Salyersville, Kentucky. Willie proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952. In 1957 he married Oma (Wheeler) Patrick, who preceded him in death in 1990. In 1993  he married Katie (Ray) Patrick, who also preceded him in death. 
  
Willie worked at General Motors in Defiance for 51.8 years and retired March 3, 1993. He was an avid walker, dear friend to his neighbors in Brunersburg, and loved all "boopers" - dogs. Willie was a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW and UAW. 
  
Willie will be sadly missed by his daughter, Karen (Larry) Moriarity of Defiance, sons Jeff (Missy) Patrick of Bryan and Daryl (Ann) Patrick of Cincinnati, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Johnnie Patrick, and several nieces and nephews. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Oma Patrick, wife Katie Patrick, brother Tommie Patrick, and sister Viola Zimmerman.
  
Visitation will be held  from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio.  Funeral services will follow with military honors at 12:00 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will take place following the service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima, Ohio.
