Teresa S. (Del Bosque) Hernandez

Teresa S. Hernandez, 84, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at The Toledo Hospital. 
  
She was born on April 9, 1933 to Jesus and Juana (Saucedo) Del Bosque in Matamoros, Mexico. On December 19, 1989 she married Leo R. Hernandez, who preceded her in death on June 11, 2005.

Teresa was a homemaker, and loved going to garage sales and visiting friends. She was a wonderful cook, a God fearing mother, and was loved by all who knew her. She loved to visit hospitals and prisons to spend time with the sick. Teresa was very proud of her children, and spending time with her family was always a priority. 
  
Teresa will be greatly missed by her family; sons, Ovidio (Tiffany) Sauceda, Jr. of Toledo, and Idel Sauceda of Lima, daughters, Velma (Bob) McClain of Helena, Montana, Martha (John) Silva of Defiance,  and Sami (Tom) Faykosh of Defiance, 23 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Adela Del Bosque, Consuelo Garcia, and brother, Ramon Del Bosque, all of Texas. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Leo R. Hernandez, son, Josue Sauceda, sister, Maria Garcia, and brothers, Angel Del Bosque and Benito Del Bosque.
  
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with  Dr. Joe Faykosh officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
