Stephen D. Kittle, 66, of Hicksville, peacefully passed away on  Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home in Hicksville.   
 
He was born on August 3, 1951 to Milo and Iva Jean (Davis) Kittle in Van Wert, Ohio. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On February 20, 1971 he married Mary Jane (Wolff) Kittle, who preceded him in death on June 28, 2015. Stephen worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Metal Management. He was a member of Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, UAW Local #211, and a lifetime member of Defiance AMVETS #1991. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and riding any "little motorized buggies".
 
Stephen will be sadly missed by his daughters, Angela (Edward) Caryer of Ney, Teresa (Bradley) Finch of Cecil, 7 grandchildren; Tyler Caryer, Chasity Kittle, Deacon Caryer, Destiney Kittle, Alexander Finch, Charity Finch, and Harmony Finch, 5 great-grandchildren; Austin Caryer, Tapanga Anderson, Colt Cordle, Rylee Cordle, and Lindsey Caryer, and sister, Connie Henderson of Mark Center.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Kittle, brother, Gary Kittle, sisters, Sharon Kittle and Marilyn Doster, and grandson, Ryan Caryer.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm on Monday at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Hemmrick officiating.  
 
Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses.
