Sharon A. Jones, 66, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Holgate, Ohio.  
 
She was born on December 27, 1949 to Gene and Maxine Voigt in Defiance. Sharon was a former member of Second Baptist Church in Defiance. She previously worked at Allied Molded Products in Bryan, Ohio.
 
Sharon is survived by her sons, Arnold C. (Janie) Jones II of Liberty Center, Ohio, and John Jones of Defiance, grandson, Logan Jones, brothers, George Retcher of Defiance, Melvin Retcher of Toledo, Jerold Retcher of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Michael Retcher of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Fred Voigt of Florida.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Retcher, and sisters, Karen Schweinhagen, Judy Retcher, and Linda Retcher.
 
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the funeral home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
