Sharon K. Bennett, 73, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.  
  
She was born on September 11, 1942 to Gerald "Red" and Mabel (Cotterman) Stickney in Paulding, Ohio. Sharon was a graduate of Sherwood High School. In 1992 she married Sam Bennett, who preceded her in death in 2002.
  
Sharon was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, Ohio,  the Pioneer Girl's Club, and the Convoy Coupon Club.
  
Sharon will be sadly missed by her family; daughters, Diania Williams of Bryan, Ohio, Louisa (Earl) Beville of  Napoleon,  Melinda Williams of Egremont, Massachusetts, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, Richard (Sandy) Stickney of Farmer, Ohio, sisters, Janice Kittle of Auburn, Indiana, Becky (Jerry) Wieland of Defiance, Beth (Keith) Hughlett of Marietta, Ohio, and Mary Lou Joseph of Convoy, Ohio. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam Bennett, brothers, Gerald Stickney,  John Stickney, and William Stickney, grandson, Joshua Beville, and great-granddaughter Brayleigh Jernigan.
  
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 pm on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the funeral home, with Rev. Chris Pierce officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
