Salomon Campos, Sr., 82, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home in Defiance.
He was born on April 22, 1935 to Joe and Maxemina (Contreras) Campos in Mexico. He was formerly married to Imelda Campos. Salomon worked for several years at General Motors in Defiance until his retirement. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Napoleon. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Salomon will be sadly missed by his three sons; Salomon (Lisa) Campos, Jr. of Defiance, Alfredo Campos, and Jamie (Melanie) Campos, all of Ayersville, three daughters; Nelly (Ray) Castillo of Texas, Diane (Vince) Ortiz of Florida, and Sylvia (Martin) Martinez of Cincinnati, OH, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers, Joe (Janie) Campos and Lupe Campos, all of Texas, sisters, Concha Campos and Fina Ramoz, both of Texas, and Clementina Campos of Holgate, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Juan Campos, and Martin Campos.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
