Phyllis  Myers, 75, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at  Regency Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio.  
  
Phyllis was born on April 27, 1940  in McComb, Ohio to Thomas L. and Ruth T. (Firman) Kline. She married Lewis Myers, who resides in Defiance, Ohio.  

Phyllis graduated from Deshler High School in 1958. She delighted in motherhood and being a homemaker. She was an excellent cook, baker, and a fastidious housekeeper. She worked in childcare for a number of years. Phyllis loved animals, and was especially fond of cats. She always had a persian house cat for many decades.
  
Phyllis is survived by her loving spouse Lewis Myers of Defiance, daughter Tammy (Greg) Snyder of Defiance, sons Thomas (Julie) Ballard  and Tracy Grim, all of Defiance, stepson Matthew Myers of Austin, TX, stepdaughter Mitzi Myers-Nannen of Lincoln, Nebraska, grandchildren Ryan (Hollie) Snyder, Erika (Shawn) Buchholz, and Carissa Snyder, all of Defiance, step-grandson Matthew Myers II of Michigan, step granddaughters Michaela Myers of Bryan, Ohio, Jessica Nannen of Mesa, Arizona, and Emily (Seth) Bohnart of Nebraska, great-grandchildren Justin, Zachary, and Kylee Snyder of Defiance, Parker and Gavin Buchholz of Defiance, step great-grandsons Mason Flores and Brayden Bohnart of Nebraska, several nieces and nephews, many friends and extended family.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nancy Gratz, and a great-nephew.
  
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the funeral home, with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Burial will follow at Myers Cemetery.
