Paulina Faye Couts, 66, of  New Bavaria, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, April 25, 2016.

She was born on May 29, 1949 to Gale and Jessie May (Commer) Buehrer in Fulton County, Ohio.  On June 11, 1966 she married Richard D. Couts, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 22, 2011. Paulina worked at Nafziger Ice Cream, Campbell Soup Company, Dana in Archbold, and at IAC in Wauseon. She loved the holidays, spending time with her family, and she was great at sandbagging when playing cards.
  
Paulina will be sadly missed by her family; sons Richard (Judith) Couts, Jr. of New Bavaria, Tony (Heather) Couts of Wauseon, Lonnie Couts of Dupont, Ohio,and Michael (Jena) Couts of  Edon, Ohio, daughter Maria Couts of Dupont, 15 Grandchildren, brothers Carl (Sharon) Buehrer and Richard Buehrer, all of Delta, Ohio, sisters Sharon (Jack) Dauwalter of Liberty Center, Gail Sue Grime of Montpelier, and Velma Canfield of Delta.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard D Couts, Sr, three brothers and six sisters.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from  6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the funeral home, with Rev. Lee Genter officiating.
