Michael J. Fronk, 65, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.  
  
He was born on April 13, 1951 to William and Mary (Slough) Fronk in Defiance. On October 21, 1972  he married Joyce (Meyer) Fronk, who resides in Defiance. Michael worked at Johns Manville as a Quality Control Technician for over 40 years.
  
Michael was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, and a member and past president of the former Northwest Ohio Rivers Council. He was an avid amateur nature photographer, and he enjoyed deer and turkey hunting. Michael had a love for nature, regardless if it was at the bottom of the oceans or to the top of the mountains in Glacier National Park in Montana.
  
Michael is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years, wife Joyce Fronk,  mother Mary Fronk, son Matthew (Robin) Fronk, all of Defiance, and daughter Jennifer (James) Gill of Brownsburg, Indiana,  5 Grandchildren;  Emily Fronk, Brendan Fronk, Gabriel Fronk, Marissa Gill, and Ethan Gill, brothers David (Julie) Fronk of Celina, Ohio, and Patrick (Deanna) Fronk of Defiance.
  
He was preceded in death by father, William L. Fronk, Jr.
  
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating.
