Mary S. Grosenbacher, 70, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Mercy Defiance Hospital.

She was born on June 11, 1946 to Edward James and Miriam (Mueller) Zeller in Defiance. On July 18, 1966 she married Paul Grosenbacher, who preceded her in death on June 28, 2012.

Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. She was a certified Pharmacy Technician and worked for 25 years at Mercy Defiance Clinic Pharmacy, formerly Adams Pharmacy, always with a smile on her face and willing to help all those who stopped by. Mary was very proud of her Catholic faith, and she loved to keep in touch with classmates and good friends she had through the years. She loved to spend time with her family, and take her beloved dog, Isabella, for walks around the Defiance College.

Mary will be greatly missed by her stepsons, Steven (Pat) Grosenbacher and Kim (Sally) Grosenbacher of Defiance, sisters, Joan (Robert) Zeller Bonin of Rochester, Michigan, and Teresa (Ray) Miller of Livermore, California, three nieces, 11 step-grandchildren, and many great-step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Grosenbacher, stepdaughter, Jill Ross, and brother, Edward J. "Jim" Zeller.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Mass will follow at 1:30 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society, Defiance Co. Humane Society, or to St. Mary Catholic Church. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
