Luetta  "Lu"  Harrow, 84, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. 
  
Lu was born on March 28, 1932 to Arthur and Sophia (Cordes) Brandt in Defiance, Ohio.  In 1952 she married Richard Harrow, who preceded her in death in 1991.
  
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, and was in the church choir She was also a member of the Defiance Art Society. Lu was a wonderful, caring nurse at the Defiance Clinic and Defiance Hospital for several years, and will be missed by many.
  
Lu is survived by her sons, Doug (Lori) Harrow of Defiance, and Dave (Diane) Harrow of Anderson, South Carolina, daughter, Patricia (John) Diemer of Defiance, three grandchildren; Chris Harrow, Jessica Diemer, and Stephanie Diemer, two great-grandchildren, and her sister, Nettie Johnston of Defiance. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Harrow, one brother, and a sister in infancy.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
