Lloyd Wohelo Ordway,  93, of Florida, Ohio, passed away on  Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence.  
  
He was born on August 1, 1922 to Floyd and Inez  (Porterfield) Ordway in Yipsilanti, Michigan. On November 24, 1945 he married Beryl (Ridgley) Ordway in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2003. Lloyd served with the U.S. Army Air Corps  from 1940 to 1944 in England. He was a driver in the Air Corps for the Generals and Military Staff. Lloyd was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3360. Prior to his military service, he worked for the Miller Alfalfa Farms, and returned to that job after the war. In 1962 he started working at Zeller Corp.in Defiance, and after 25 years of service he retired in 1987. He lived with John and Augusta Justinger for a time as a child, and while living there he joined the Catholic Chuch and served as an altar boy at St.Stephen's The Bend Church. Lloyd enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, and his gardens. He loved his trips to Las Vegas and bus trips to casinos.

Lloyd is survived by his loving family, son Darrell (Caroline) Ordway of Tawas City, Michigan, daughter Laurina (Ben) Ordway of Defiance, granddaughter Dawn (Scott) Buchholz and their children Jacob and Jared Buchholz of Defiance, brother Dwight ( Thelma) Ordway of Oakwood, sisters Donna Brecht of Continental, Alice Tipton of Tazwell, Tennessee, and Jackie Cortez of New Mexico, and sister-in-law Phyllis Smith of High Wycombe, England.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Inez Ordway, wife Beryl Ordway, brothers Dewey Ordway and Leo Ordway, and sister Fay Scott and Verna Mathes.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the funeral home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
