Linda A. (Hasselschwert) Miller

Linda A. Miller, 75, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 24, 2018 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio.  
 
She was born on November 29, 1942 to Florian and Mildred (Mack) Hasselschwert in Defiance. On June 6, 1964 she married James E. Miller, who resides in Defiance.

Linda was a faithful member of St. John Catholic Church, and she was a Defiance Hospital Auxiliary volunteer. She previously worked at Dinner Bell Foods, and she worked for over 20 years at Chief Supermarket in the bakery department. Linda loved cooking, baking, and dancing, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
 
Linda will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 53 years, James E. Miller of Defiance, daughters, Lisa (Tom) Shannon of St. Paul, MN, Jennifer (Tim) Holman of Dallas, TX, and Patti (Corey) Giangrande of Grand Rapids, MI, son, Tim (Brandy) Miller of Defiance. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren; Kyle (Lauren), Alex, Luke, Wesley, Alexis, Abigail, Jaylie, Emma, Rylee, Laney, Alivia, Gavin, and Bennett.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Norman, and Larry Hasselschwert.
 
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr Eric Mueller officiating.
