Larry H. Steele, 73, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his residence in Defiance, Ohio.  
  
He was born on September 12, 1942 to Clarence and Willie (Harless) Steele in Waiteville, West Virginia. On May 9, 1975 he married Cecilia (Giebler) Steele, who resides in Defiance. Larry loved riding in his truck and talking on his CB. His handle was "T-Bird".  He enjoyed spending time with his family.
  
Larry is survived by his loving spouse of 41 years, Cecilia Steele of Defiance children Jeff Unverferth of Defiance, Jamie Vogt of Maryland, Larry Steele of Defiance, Doug Steele of Napoleon, Michael Steele of North Carolina, Tony Steele of Defiance, Sam Pawlicki of Liberty Center, and Terri Pawlicki of Indiana, 7 grandchildren, sisters, Betty Gremling of South Carolina and Wanda (Jimmy) Taylor of Defiance, and brother Doug Steele of Defiance. 
  
He was preceded in death by parents Willie and Clarence Steele, sisters, Mary Steele, Eva Joyce Steele, Erma Camp, Harriette Baer, Patty Kitchenmaster, and Bonnie Franks, and brother, Hermie Steele.
  
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor James Fry officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
