Donna M. Bresnan, 75, of Defiance,  passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at  CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.

She was born on March 22, 1942 to John and Florence (Haley) Bresnan in Illinois. Donna was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was a volunteer in the church office, and was active with the Food Pantry. She  taught Spanish at Mt. Vernon High School, and retired from Defiance County Department of Human Services. She enjoyed traveling with friends, and going to baseball games and hockey games with her family. Donna was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and Ft. Wayne Komets.  She will be missed by her family, and her dog, Cocoa.
  
Donna is survived by her brother, John (Debra) Bresnan of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Carolyn Bresnan.
  
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Friday,  August 11, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
