David Joseph Yeager, 59, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on  March 18, 2016 at the Hospice of North West Ohio in Toledo.  
  
He was born on October 22, 1956 to Gale and Patricia (Leonard) Yeager in Defiance, OH. David retired from GM in 2008, where he worked as a Machinist for 30 years. David attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Defiance and was a member of the local UAW 211. He was a fun loving guy who enjoyed tinkering, wrenching, and customizing his vehicles. In the kitchen, he created his own dishes and also enjoyed gardening....his specialty was heirloom tomatoes. David was also a proud computer nerd and a very talented harmonica player who will be missed by many friends and relatives. As David would say, "See ya on the flip!"

David is survived by his sister Gayle (Larry) Renz of Sherwood, OH, brothers, Tim (Karol) Yeager, Rich (Sherry) Yeager, and Don Yeager all of Defiance, son, Clayton Yeager of Louisiana, and best friends, Bobby Guerrero, Dan Derrow, Tony Lewis, and Tony Hottmann.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents; Gale and Patricia Yeager.
  
The Yeager family will greet friends and family on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Defiance UAW Annex Hall, 2120 Baltimore Street, Defiance, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
