Brianna Lynn Hackett, 22, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, August 31, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  
  
She was born on May 29, 1995 to Paul Hackett and Tyann Swirles in Midland, Michigan. Brianna was a 2013 graduate of Hicksville High School. She worked at Sager's Bar and Grill in Holgate. Brianna was very outgoing and had a zest for life. She deeply touched our hearts and will be greatly missed by so many that loved her.
  
Brianna is survived by her parents, Paul (Sophia) Hackett of Defiance, mother, Tyann Swirles of  Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Darnell Tillman and sister, Taneysha Smith, both of Ft. Wayne, uncles; David (Beth) Hackett of Freeland, MI, Matthew Swirles of Montpelier, Rudy (Shawn) Moreno of Montpelier, Roger Moreno of Defiance, Chao Moreno of  Roscommon, MI, aunts; Shannon (Scott) Kozlowski of Warren, MI, Heather Swirles of Edgerton, Angela (William) Alexander, and  Vitoria Moreno, all of New Bavaria, Lisa Hackett of Midland, MI, Kay (Christopher) Braun of Pittsburg, PA, many cousins, and grandparents, Mike (Linda) Hackett of Midland, MI, Priscilla Hackett of Midland, MI, Richard (Virginia) Moreno of Roscommon, MI, and great-grandfather Gasper Panik of Montpelier. 
  
She was preceded in death by grandparents Joann and Patrick M. Swirles, Fred and Pauline Hackett, Dorothy and Wesley Cady, great-grandmothers Lourenia Hilbrecht, and Rose Panik, cousin, Angalise Moreno, and uncle, Gregory Rochon.
  
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Deb Miller officiating.
