Bernadine W.E. Fry, 81, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Napoleon, Ohio.  
  
She was born on March 13, 1934 to John and Hilda (Panning) Behnfeldt in Henry County, Ohio. In 1955 she married Harold L. "Pork"  Fry, who preceded her in death in 2008.
  
Bernadine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance. Bernadine worked at All-Star Products in Defiance.
  
Bernadine is survived by her son, Paul (Everlly) Fry of New Bavaria, Ohio, daughter, Mary (Ron) Comden of Defiance, grandchildren, Shalene (Sam) Pester and Clay Fry, sister, Betty Lou (Mural) Naveau of Napoleon, and her beloved dog, Ginger.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Harold Fry.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2016  at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am  on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. David Brobston officiating. Burial will follow at Ayersville Cemetery.
