Barbara Jo Motter of Stryker, Ohio, daughter of the late Don and Joyce Motter of Defiance, died Friday, September 8, 2017 of cancer at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was one of the three remaining descendants of her grandmother Charlotte (Lottie) Tuttle Motter. The others being James Motter of Laguna Niguel, California, and her sister Sue (Don) Wright of Defiance.

She is also survived by cousins Dolene Ketterlee, Bryan, James Grant, and aunts Ann Grant and Rita Grant of Defiance. Barbara was an aunt to Sean, Jennifer, Jonathan and Stuart Wright, and a great-aunt to Brittany, Mathys, Collin, Caeden, twins Emma and Katherine, Franklin, Skylar, Bryceson and Carson, and great-great-aunt to Skye.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 with visitation one hour before the service at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.  A private burial service will be held at a later date.
