Victor L. Ledbetter, age 67 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at The Laurels of Defiance.
He was born on December 20, 1956 to Clyde and Annabell (Relyea) Ledbetter in Defiance, Ohio. Victor was a 1975 graduate of Defiance High School. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Iranian Crisis. On April 10, 1981 he married Carol L. Brown, who preceded him in death on October 24, 2015.
Victor was a member of Defiance Eagles #372, AmVets #1991, DAV, and Moose Lodge #2094. He was a talented musician and played guitar and sang for area bands "Country Neighbors" and "Roadhouse". He was also a light technician for "Pete Schlegel and TruSouth Band". In his leisure time he enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family.
Victor is survived by his children; Steven (Ashley) Ledbetter of Sherwood, OH, April Ledbetter and her partner Jaclyn Hernandez of Defiance, Marianne (Kevin) Richards and Martin (Alley) Baxter, all of Bremerton, WA, and his mother Ann Ledbetter of Defiance. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Ashley and Tyler Richards, Ian and Crystal Baxter, all of Bremerton, WA, Izabelle, Avryellah and Bexley Ledbetter of Sherwood, and his brother Timothy Ledbetter of Jackson, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Ledbetter, and his wife, Carol Ledbetter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home South, with Pastor Nico Kinner officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW #3360.
